The Osprey is also called the sea hawk, fish eagle, and fish hawk. The primary food source is fish. When they catch a fish, they carry the fish head first in their talons. Unlike the Eagle which carries the fish side ways. As a large raptor, Ospreys can reach more than 60 cm (24 in) in length and 180 cm (71 in) across their wings.

These photographs were taken at Fort Belvoir and Leesylvania State Park in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The primary camera was a Nikon D800 with a Nikkor 500mm and a 1.4 Teleconverter.
